We discussed different topics and I suggested to him: "Why don't we establish a Grameen-Danone joint venture in Bangladesh?" "And what is this company supposed to do?" he asked; I replied "to produce yoghurt - you just told me how good it is." And I continued: "Let's do it for a very specific purpose: there is a great number of malnourished and ill-fed children in Bangladesh. There are millions of them. We will put all the elements these children need into the yoghurt: vitamins, iron, zinc - everything they are lacking. We will dose it for exactly this type of malnourished children, according to the recommendation of the scientists. And the price of this yoghurt will be such that the parents can afford, when they are buying their children a snack in their village. In this way, the children will receive all the nutrients and trace elements they need to become healthier."
